I miss Giant Eagle. They don’t have them in Ann Arbor. Meijer is an okay substitute, but after seven years in Columbus, I had gotten used to the Eagle.
Yes, Meijer is more a Walmart than an ‘Iggle.’
I like ours. (I’d like it better if PA had the same liquor laws as OH and they had a wine section in mine like they do across the state line, but whatcha gonna do.)
Hey, not to be all stalkery but isn’t that the “Beaver” Bridge over the Ohio? My dad was a civil engineer who did bridge inspections so I got to see a lot of bridges! But when I was growing up, that Giant Eagle was a Kaufmann’s department store.
Ah, department stores comes and go but bridges remain the same!
