One year

Mackie, you turned one year old on Sunday. Truth be told, there were times this year when I wasn’t sure either one of us was going to make it this far. But you and I have prevailed, and things are just getting good.

My boy is turning one in a couple of weeks and it was rough going for a long time, so I feel you. (In fact, I believe I found your blog after Googling “hate newborn phase” or something like that.) Now is when the fun part starts!

“hate newborn phase” should be my middle name! Because I do. they’re cute and all, but they may as well be little kangaroo joeys, squirmy and naked, and me without my pouch.

Now is totally the fun part. i get to breathe again. If I can get him to his first birthday alive, I can do anything.

Hey, I think that sometimes ‘survival’ is the the most logical goal to have. And, I agree about the newborn phase. I’m not a huge fan of babies until about the 4 month mark. Anything before that is really just more reason for moms to take medication.

omg. i think i’ve googled for hate newborn phase too. hahahaha.

So far I LOVE a one year old. and i love other peoples 2 year olds so I think it only gets better.

I hated the newborn phase so much I don;’t know if i can ever have another one.
