- Juno.
- Everything is Illuminated (the novel)
- MacBook Air
- Spinster Yarn and Fiber
Wow. Saw this last weekend and it was so, so good. Ellen Page was beyond stellar. Reminded me of my little sister, in a very good way. Of course, I cried and cried at the end.
Guess what? Cried and cried at the end.
Shiny. Didn’t cry. Might have licked it, though. I am considering it my Valentine’s Day present to Iain. Not even entirely sure how we ended up leaving the Apple Store with one, but there it is.
Neither cried nor licked anything. This brand-new yarn shop just opened underneath Red Canoe and is full of eco-friendly and organic stuff for your fiber pleasure. Love it already. (Nothing to link to, yet, though.)

I knew Jon Foer in college- my best friend’s highschool beau (and jesus, what he has become …), but he let me read a draft of that book and I too cried like crazy at the end. It’s a wonderful piece- thanks for making me think of it again!
I’m buying a Macbook, but the Air’s are worthless
Oh and also, I saw Juno and it’s alright, I hate Ellen Page myself but it was okay. Kind of contrived and “omg look at how quirky and unique she is!!!”
please delete or condense these comments, i need to read entries all the way through before i type replies, sorry. Everything is Illuminated is AWESOME. I read that a few years ago, it was hard at first but well worth it. I haven’t seen the movie, though.
I’ve never had a Mac, but would like one for the sheer fact that I could carry it around in an inter-office mail envelope. That and it would probably give me less problems than this damn Windows.
Did you lick the book, too?
Who’s the author?
I’d understand the attraction, but I’m kinda glad you didn’t lick it. You might have gotten a shock.
Recommended for YOU (I saw this book at work and thought, “MB!” True!):
The Apron Book by EllynAnne Geisel. Probably no relation to Dr. Seuss (Theodore Geisel) but you never know. Instructions, stories, recipes, and the most adorable aprons you’ve ever seen.
I LOVED Juno. And next time you go to Spinster, stop in at Bediboo and Rock Candy down the street.
