A cheerful, shallow pause in the slump

Went to the old Franklin Park Mall today with my sister and my brother’s girlfriend. Exchanged a Gap turtleneck for a really sweet pair of dark jeans … in the next size down! Score one for the intestinal disease, I’m now a size two again.
After that we unpacked our suitcases and moved in to Sephora. I had two gift cards to spend and, after like an hour wandering around wide-eyed, walked out with the Bare Minerals starter kit. My sister Em let me try hers yesterday and you know what? I’m a convert. I look smooth and glowy. I’m wearing that and the eye kit right now. And my new vest. I am Hot Mom, hear me purr.
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.

Leaving me a comment, eh? Have I mentioned how gorgeous you look in that shirt/kilt/jumpsuit/riding ensemble?

ooo I love Bare Minerals. I’m working through my Mary Kay stuff because I hate to be wasteful.

A size 2?
I’ve got to get another colonoscopy! Seriously!
And I thought I was da bomb for losing 20 lbs. to regain my svelte size 10 figure!
You go, MB!

Glad you had a good Christmas. Yay for Sephora! I got a Philosophy starter kit, myself… I hope it works.
Also, I got that sewing machine I was angling for! I’ll be rifling through your sewing tutorials shortly!

Size 2? That’s not fair…LOL
I, too, had purchased the Bare Minerals starter kit, but found it way too messy—so I gave it to my daughter (who loves it).
Sephora is the best! I usually purchase a ton of gift cards for teachers every year, but this year when I went, Sephora had run out of gift cards…WTH? I love their little satin gift bags they give you, so even when I’m buying something for myself, I ask to have it put in a gift bag…LOL!
Happy New Year!
With friendship,

I’m totally ignoring the bit about size 2, but yay you for smaller jeans! Also yay for Bare Minerals—so much nicer than smoothing brownish goo into your skin.
