That ‘Evolution of Dance’ thing is really takin’ off, huh?

A little something to satisfy all the google searchers coming here looking for Judd.

So I posted a little while back about Judson Laipply and his YouTube video called “The Evolution of Dance.” My friend Jen sent it to me, the way you do when you hear about someone you went to school with doing something halfway interesting.

So it’s kind of weird, in a six degrees of separation way, to see that the world at large is picking up on it, too.

AP story: Video of dance medley an internet hit. Thanks to Dani for the news tip.

ABC News watercooler: Dancing around the world

And according to his Web site, Judd was supposed to be on the Today Show this morning — did anyone see it?

Yup, he was on the Today show this morning. He “Hammer” was dead-on. If only I could have mastered those moves back in junior high, then I could have been someone today!
Seriously, it was cool. He’s a pretty good dancer. And I thought it seemed like a good way to end his presention (he gives speeches about how things are always changing, and at the end he does the “Evolution of Dance” to show how dance has changed).

The first time I saw that I busted a gut laughing- at him and myself because I looked like a complete morn because I danced through the whole thing with him.

I saw that he was going to be on, but they didn’t show the segment until I was already at work. It’s crazy how internet things catch on… you remember jibjab, right? :)

Hilarious! They are talking about it in Louisiana too! I was like, I know him, he was my best friend’s roommate, I swears!

Leaving me a comment, eh? Have I mentioned how gorgeous you look in that shirt/kilt/jumpsuit/riding ensemble?
