And in the event that you do adapt …
So it totally figures that the coldest night of the year would be the night that the motor on our furnace heater-thingie would go kaput.
Maintenance Guru Guy won’t be able to get another one til tomorrow, so until then, we’ll be keeping warm with beer, blankets and … um, beer.
And mebbe a snuggle.
Temperature is 62 degrees, down three degrees from dinnertime and 13 degrees from yesterday, but we’ll see what it looks like when morning comes.
Woo hoo! Weather-induced drama is my favorite kind.

I’m sending warm Mojo fuzzies your way! If it doesn’t get fixed Saturday, go to a hotel and bill your landlord.
I wish I could send you some warmth, but the temperature less than ten feet away from where I’m sitting is one degree below zero. (Wind chill: -16 degrees). It’s been like this all week. Supposed to go down to -25 wind chill later tonight. Witches’ tits got nothing on this weather. There’s a lot of leakage from the windows, too; if I could, I’d type with my gloves on.
The good news is that it’s supposed to get all the way up to +17 degrees tomorrow. By Monday it will be about freezing level. Of course we’re supposed to get sleet that day, but I don’t care, as long as I don’t have to wear my entire wardrobe to stay warm.
Hope yer heater-thingie gets fixed soon.
Holy cripes! Huddle around the eMac for warmth!
I tried, but no go. eMacs are not as flammable as one would think. On the plus side, the space bar no longer sticks.
Uh-oh. Did it at least melt into an attractive, yet minimalist and spare design?
The good news is that maintenance guy came back the next morn and fixed the heater. The bad news is that we have to remember to call him come summertime, because if we want to use the A/C he’s got to do something mechanical to the system. I don’t know; it all went over my head.
